The park is conveniently located just a mile or two from I-20 near Villa Rica, Georgia. Once you turn into the park entrance, horse parking is the very large field on your right (plenty of room to park! And there are two places that you can use to turn into the field). There is also a bathroom that we can use before (and after!) the ride. Parking is free.
Please bring water and snacks for both yourself and your horse.
We will meet at 11:30 with a ride out time of 12:00 noon. I am including a map of the proposed ride, which is 3.94 miles using loop trails, mostly over easy terrain (a mix of wooded trails and passing by a few open fields). There is one water crossing, which can be done either by crossing a sturdy bridge or by just going through the water that is only a couple of inches deep. The trails that we are using are suitable for barefoot horses (for those that want to go and explore more trails, we can certainly point you in the right direction but you might want your horse to be shod or in boots if they have sensitive feet).
Let me know if you have any questions or if I need to add more information about the ride. Thanks!
